Cyclone Christmas-Sunday Dec. 13th

After our game on Sunday Dec. 13th vs. Stratford, the Cyclones will be having their annual Pot Luck Christmas Celebration. All the executive, coaches, volunteers, and parents are asked to bring some food of their choice and we will settle in for a fun afternoon. Fans are of course welcome to join in. The General and his staff will have the bar open for the event. If any fans would like to join in on the meal portion, please bring a food item and have some fun with us. It is rumoured that St. Nick may make an early visit to  the Memorial Auditorium for the event.

Tryhards Edge the Cyclone Roster By 5-4 in Shoot-Out

A good time was had by everyone who came out to this fundraising event. It was great to see some of the Cyclone Alumni suited up as well as the coaching staff and former GM, Regan Stocco. Although it was not at the same speed and skill level as we see at a normal Cyclone game, there were still some nice goals and good plays...of course at a much slower speed. It did come down to a shoot out and Baiers, Brooks, and Stocco were all denied. The Tryhards were able to score 1 on Steve Leith, who had to be tremendous all game long to cover the rest of his team.

We thank everyone who participated in any way. Most of the current players were on hand to referee, help at the front table, coach, and provide encouragement or jabs to various members of the Cyclone roster. We send a big thank you to 2 of our faithful volunteers, Joan Carnahan, and Gloria Cameron. These 2 ladies have been helping us for many years and we are very fortunate to have them as part of our Cyclone Organization.

Also a Big Thank You to the Band, The Bar Stools, for their live and entertaining music upstairs after the game. Scott Gabel, Evan Williams, Edward Annett, and Paul Adams did a fantastic job of keeping the crowd entertained.

The team was able to make a few dollars on the event but more than anything, it was a great chance for many of our people to get the opportunity to kick back, play some hockey, and have some fun.

Cyclone Exec/Staff Vs. CKNX(The Bull) Tryhards:

Nov. 21st-7:00

Mark this date on your calender. This should be a great evening of hockey, comedy, and overall entertainment. A great chance to see some Cyclone Alumni, executive members, and the coaching staff in action against the mighty CKNX Crew. With the Cyclone staff featuring players such as former NHLer, Jeff Bloemberg,  OHL star Regan Stocco, power players like Mike Brooks and Jason Baier, this is an event you don't want to miss. The full roster will be listed on our Events page. Both teams are still scouting potential players so the rosters may change.

The bar will be open upstairs throughout the game and after. A band that call themselves "The Bar Stools" will be performing upstairs after the game as well. Featuring Scott Gabel, Evan Williams, and Edward Annett, this trio will provide some great live music for our post game crowd. Special guest, Paul Adam will be on bass. As always, drinks will be very well priced so this pub atmosphere will be the place to be on this Sat. night.

Perhaps the beer cart girls had something to do with that. Thank you ladies. Below are a few of the pictures from the weekend.

If anyone is looking to purchase any of our anniversary programs, which feature 35 out of the 37 years of team photos, please let us know. Only $5 for the program. We also have a great selection of hats available. 1 for $20 or 2 for $35.White, black, or red and 2 different logo designs.
